  • Overview

     

    The overall purpose of the position is to represent and sell AMResorts and its brands as a director of groups, meetings and incentives; with special focus on developing business from site selection companies/special accounts (ex: Helms Briscoe, Conference Direct, Experient). Additional submarkets may be assigned by the Corporate Director of Groups, maximizing revenues and achieving corporate sales goals and objectives.

     

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

     

    • Pursue prospect and develop business for all resorts and brands
    • Set appointments and execute sales calls/presentations/ educational seminars and webinars about the resorts/brands to designated special accounts to ensure maximum impact and results
    • Coordinate and represent brands at various planner events, associations, trade shows, and other industry events as described in Action Plan
    • Create, implement and maintain groups sales manual that identifies corporate standards
    • Manage budget, revenue tracking and reporting
    • Statistical analysis, maintenance and consolidation of weekly, monthly and annual sales, production, revenue and budget reports
    • Perform and analyze regular benchmarking
    • Assist with sales plans, owner reports, marketing plans, event planning, partner relationships
    • Impeccably maintain partner databases
    • Maintain professional, consistent verbal and written communication with clients
    • Complete and submit a weekly sales call summary report to keep the assigned hotels informed of key contacts, issues, opportunities and challenges
    • Complete and submit monthly progress report of definite group business booked for goal tracking
    • Develop, distribute (to the assigned hotels) and execute monthly/quarterly Key Account sales action plans
    • Must meet or exceed established booking goals on a quarterly basis
    • Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner, protecting the company’s image
    • Maintain Accounts and Contacts in CRM in impeccable conditions

     

     

    Qualifications:

     

    Education:

    • Degree level qualification or equivalent

    Experience:

     

     

     

    • Group sales management experience in the hospitality industry in global sales
    • Must have a strong, existing network of clients specifically with Helms Briscoe, Conference Direct
    • Demonstrated strong management and analytical skills with ability to independently gather, collate, validate and analyze data
    • Must have strong presentation skills with personable and assertive character 
    • Advanced MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel a must

     

    Language:

    • English
    • Spanish preferred but not required

    • Must have solid understanding and experience in hospitality industry
    • Must have high attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Excellent time management skills – ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment
    • Experience making presentations in front of a group
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Strong customer service orientation and skills
    • Excellent listening skills
    • Valid passport and ability to travel (at times on weekends or holidays) required
    • Must have intermediate to advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and power point presentation or database applications
    • Spanish is a plus
