Under the general direction of the Area Commercial Director (RCD) and within the limits of established standards of
AMResorts, policies and procedures, manages all sales and promotional activities MICE, TTOO’s, Travel, Agencies and
FIT in Central America for the LATAM/ENC Region. Maintains close liaison with DOS in the region and ARM Corporate
MICE / TTOO, FIT Agencies scouting in Central America for all resorts in LATAM/ENC.
Assists the Group Sales Manager of each LATAM/ENC resort to close MICE groups and signing contracts from accounts that have been developed by the Senior Sales Manager Central America.
Assists the DOS and Sales Manager of each resort LATAM/ENC to generate and close TTOO groups from accounts that have been developed by the Senior Sales Manager Central America.
Assisting the RCD and DOS in LATAM/ENC to contract single and Multi-Property agreements with TTOO in Central America.
Reviews all new MICE leads, lost MICE leads and channels them to alternative properties or destinations in the region or within AMR.
Responsible to generate all sales & revenue reports required by the RCD and AMResorts corporate office (weekly/monthly sales call log report, group lead report etc.).
Assisting the RCD to develop MICE and FIT sales strategies in Central America for future openings and drives advanced MICE and FIT business into these properties.
Keeps a close relationship with all mayor LATAM and CARIBEAN Airlines such as Copa Airlines, Avianca, Air Panama and others.
Attends all mayor industry related MICE and TTOO trade shows in Central America, makes new contacts and generates business opportunities. Main liaison for trade shows with direct AMR participation in Central America (example Expo Tour Costa Rica).
Constant visits to all important MICE agencies and TTOO in Central America.
In coordination and approval by the DOS, assists with important MICE and TTOO site inspection from Central America.
In coordination and with the approval of the DOS, plans opportunity rates for the resorts within Central America.
Development of programs and Familiarization Trips for the LATAM/ENC region in Central America according to a yearly plan/schedule in coordination with the RCD and DOS of each resort.
Updating and maintaining Data base.
Participation in Central American travel programs (Blitz).
Maintains close relationship with all Central American governmental and private nonprofit institutions related to the development and support of truism in the region (ICT Costa Rica, ATP Panama, etc.).
Ensures the successful generation of revenues as determined by the RCD and corporate office.
Assists Directors of Sales in planning and implementing sales & marketing strategies in Central America.
Continually identifies new business opportunities & revenue generating markets to increase yield and volume of sales.
Assists the RCD and LATAM/ENC DOS in preparing the yearly Source of Business Plan (SOB) for Central America and monitoring and controlling budgets in accordance with the marketing plan.
Bachelor’s degree required
Knowledge of operation and procedures in hotels.
Minimum of three years international Sales Manager experience.
MICE and FIT sales experience in Central America.
Passport and estimated ability to travel 80% in LATAM/ENC. US & Canadian Visa highly preferred
